Living space

Casal Lima has been restored in a very traditional way, and we have kept the traditionally designed Eucalyptus pole and cane ceilings.It has a good sized lounge with a fully working Portuguese range, a fully fitted kitchen with double sink, full size oven, microwave, toaster and Iron and a separate dining room which looks out onto the reat garden and views of the countryside. It has a fully tiled bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin.
Casal Alfândega also has a good sized lounge with two leather sofabeds which enables the cottage to sleep seven comfortably. It has a built in wood burning fire, and double doors which lead to the large secluded rear terrace, with views over the surrounding countryside. It has a fully fitted kitchen/diner with double oven and hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster and Iron.This leads to a utility area from which gives access to the fully tiled bathroom with bath, separate shower, toilet, bidet and hand basin and another door to the rear terrace.

Bedrooms

Casal Lima has two bedrooms, one double and one twin, which is large enough to accomodate another single bed if necessary. Both rooms are fitted with good quality pine wardrobes and furniture.
Casal Alfândega also has two bedrooms but with the added advantage of a gallery in bedroom two which houses a single bed (We do not recommend the gallery for small children, due to the steep staircase). Bedroom one is a double and bedroom two is a twin. The twin beds can be joined into bunkbeds to make room for another single bed if required.Both rooms are fully fitted with good quality pine furniture.

Outdoors

Outside the cottages is a beautiful 9 metre swimming pool. The depth is 1 metre at the shallow end and 2 metres at the deep end.There is seating around the pool and also in the covered BBQ area.
Both cottages have their own patio furniture together with reclining chairs and sunloungers.
There is a lower front terrace which is surrounded by the garden, this makes an ideal play area or a quiet retreat from the pool area. There is also a side terrace which leads to the rear garden.
There is a covered carport for two vehicles.

Local information

We are situated in a small hamlet called Lentiscais which has one small tasca bar where you can buy the bare basics. 10 mins drive away is Paderne, where you will find a choice of mini-markets, a greengrocers, chemist,postoffice, bank, local bars and several good restaurants.A market is held here on the first saturday of every month.
Ten minutes north is the picturesque Gypsey Village of Alte, where you will find pretty winding cobbled streets, a handful of shops and restaurants and a beaautiful river that has been dammed so that you can swim in it.
Twent minutes drive away is Albufeira where you will find everything, no matter what you are looking for.
