Introduction
Northern Liguria is a area of outstanding natural beauty which is only now being discovered by the discerning traveller. The villa is in a beautiful secluded location yet is withing a hour's drive of such attractions as the Cote d'Azur and the Italian Riviera.
It is 58km from Nice airport (Easyjet) or 140Km Genoa (Ryanair).

Living space
The upper and lower apartments each share their own large terraces with spectacular views.
All apartments have well equipped kitchens.
Each apartment has its own sitting room.
The lower apartments are built into the old wine cellars and are particularly cool in the height of summer. They share a v large
kitchen / dining area which opens on to a large terrace.

Bedrooms
There are two double beds in each apartment one being a comfortable sofa bed.
The lower apartments have shower,WC and bidet.
The upper apartments have small bath with shower attachments WC and bidet.

Outdoors
The secluded villa is set among the owners' terraces of olives, mimosa and eucalyptus. There are wonderful views of the nearby villages of Pigna and Castel Vittorio below.
There is an oven outside and the owners will be delighted to prepare stone baked pizza and other local specialities for you ( this can be pre booked)
There are also Quad bikes available for hire (escorted by the villa owner) which will enable you to explore the area more extensively.
It is also possible to spend half a day climbing to the summit of Mt Torragio (7000ft), leaving by Jeep before sunrise. with a 3 hour climb on foot.
For relaxation,there are crystal clear rockpools set in a dramatic location where families can enjoy swimming in a stunning safe environment.
There are also caves to explore but a guide is advised.

Local information
The small villages in this valley date back to to the 12 Century. They are well worth exloring. Throughout the year there are festivals ( lavender, mushroom, chestnut, wine etc.) There are also concerts at San Remo and Menton as well as firework displays. Full details of events are available at the villa. This location offers peace and tranquility yet is within easy reach of the nightlife of the Mediterranean resorts. There are many inexpensive resaurants offering the local speciality dishes with freshly grown produce.
In Ventimiglia there is a daily fruit vegetable and fish market worth exploring. On Fridays the whole town is taken over with the famous market where there are bargains to be had!
