Local information
New Port Richey is a small coastal town situated
just North from the white sandy beaches of
St Petersburg and Clearwater. The nearest beach
(shown in the photo) is just a few minutes drive
from the villa, the whole coast is dotted with
small beaches and coves all with the same white
sand which makes the area so popular.
Join the locals on various evenings and go to the
beach bar at Hudson beach to listen to the Jazz
bands or calypso groups playing alongside the
water. Join in the dancing as the sun sets over the
Gulf of Mexico.
A five minute drive brings you to a great selection
Of restaurants, like Leverocks, a very popular
Seafood restaurant, where you can sit and watch
Pelicans fish in the evening sun. Ryans, where the
Buffet selection will have you wondering how they
do it for the money. The Outback Steakhouse, where
the theme is Australian, with Fosters lager and
Crocodile Dundee knives to eat your steaks.
Pit Boss Barbecue Bar, where succulent ribs of beef
Or pork are roasted over an open flame pit with a
Delicious sauce.
The list of restaurants is in fact endless, every taste
is catered for; Italian, Chinese, Mexican and lots
more. There are also numerous vegetarian
restaurants with a wide choice of menu.
We feel that this area is ideal for holidays in
Florida as it is within easy reach of all major
attractions: you can enjoy the hustle and bustle
of Orlando, Clearwater or Tampa, or the peace
and quiet of the sun drenched, white sandy
beaches nearby.
Busch Gardens is a must, where the subtle blend
Of theme park (with the largest roller coaster in
The South East of the USA), mix with the wide
Variety of animals roaming unhindered in a vast
expanse of land.
The new $100 million aquarium has opened in
Tampa, which is an excellent day out and well
worth a visit.
The area is a shoppers paradise, sample the local flea markets at weekends or try the local
Superstores and large malls in the area, these can literally take you a day to walk around!
Dozens of golf courses cater for all abilities and prices start from around $12 a round, including
